Pacific Ohana Hostel offers no-frills accommodation half a block from Waikīkī Beach and close to Kapiʻolani Park. The basic and simply furnished rooms work well for digital nomads looking to meet other adventurers and for those traveling on a limited budget.
There are several room types to choose from: co-ed and female-only dorms, semi-private single or double rooms or fully private rooms sleeping 2-8 people. All accommodations benefit from kitchen facilities, a stove and refrigerator, bathroom, WiFi, plus private rooms can also come with air-conditioning for an extra charge.
Two ABC stores for daily essentials and groceries are within a couple of minutes walk, plus, there’s a vending machine in the hostel common area. A selection of luxury shops selling gifts, apparel, food and crafts can also be discovered on nearby Kalākaua Avenue.
For cheap eats, stroll to the food trucks and take-out restaurants on Cartwright Road, or for something a little more substantial, you’ll find Lulu’s Waikiki Surf Club and Teddy’s Bigger Burgers close by.
Pacific Ohana Hostel is steps from Waikīkī Beach, Waikiki Aquarium and Honolulu Zoo, but if you don’t wish to venture too far, watch a favorite movie on TV in the common areas or relax with a good book.
The hostel offers keyless entry and there’s no curfew. Late check-ins are offered from 10pm-9am if staff are notified in advance and long term stays are available.
