Ala Moana Honolulu by Mantra is comfortable, mid-range hotel in between Waikīkī and Downtown Honolulu, just a mile from the famous Waikīkī Beach.

The public spaces were renovated in 2020 and it’s one of the “Top 20 Business Stay Hotels” in Honolulu according to TripAdvisor, with almost 15,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, plus it’s close to the Hawaii Convention Center.

Guest rooms and suites in Kona Tower or Waikiki Tower boast stunning ocean, mountain or city views. They are equipped with free WiFi, air-conditioning, a microwave oven and refrigerator – some larger suites feature a kitchen. Accessible rooms are also available.

There are gift shops on-site selling Hawaiian clothing, Koa wood jewelry and Tahitian pearls, plus the hotel adjoins the Ala Moana Center – the world’s largest open-air mall accessed via the Skybridge on level 2.

Dining in the hotel is a treat with several cafes and restaurants on-site. Pop into Café 410 for breakfast, Starbucks for coffee and pastries, Café at Dada for all-day creative dishes, Pint & Jigger for a gastropub dinner or weekend brunch or The Signature Prime Steak & Seafood for sky-high dining views from the 36th floor.

Enjoy a refreshing dip in the sparkling swimming pool, soak up the Hawaiian sunshine or relax with a sunset cocktail around a crackling firepit. Resort on-site activities also include a fully equipped fitness center, sauna/steam room and Jurassic Park tours, volcano tours and more can be booked via the activities desk.

A great selling point of this hotel is its proximity to Ala Moana Beach Park 5 minutes away. The park has a beautiful beach, picnic areas, jogging paths and tennis courts.

There’s no additional Resort Fee at this hotel but remember to factor in paid parking if needed. Guest self-parking starts at US$34.50 for 24 hours.
