Waikele, located in the hills overlooking Pearl Harbor, is steeped in sugar plantation history. It’s a popular planned community featuring a local swimming pool, parks, sports fields, and bike paths. Its claim-to-fame is Waikele Premium Outlets. It opened in the mid-1990s but remains Oʻahu’s only discount outlet center, and one of the best places for retail therapy on the island.
