The Grand Islander by Hilton is nestled within the sprawling 22-acre Hilton Hawaiian Village resort close to Kahanamoku Beach in Waikīkī. It’s within walking distance of Hawaii Convention Center and Ala Moana Beach Park.

Rooms and suites are light and spacious, many with floor-to-ceiling doors and balconies, and all accommodations come with free WiFi access.

The larger resort has several retail outlets for local gift shopping and snacks. Dining is also a pleasure with restaurants and cafes serving everything from New York Deli sandwiches to delicious pizzas, Japanese cuisine, steak, seafood and ice cream. Head to Tapa Bar with live nightly music, and don’t forget to try the famous Blue Hawaiʻi cocktail – it was invented here in 1957.

Make a splash in one of the five swimming pools featuring waterslides and a paradise pool with waterfalls. Join in with the spectacular Waikiki Starlight Luau, held in the gardens with hula dancing, live music and a sumptuous Hawaiian feast.

Also remember there are free fireworks on Friday evenings launching from Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon at 7:45pm (Sep-May) and 8pm (Jun-Aug) – it’s a long-standing tradition.

There are a multitude of activities available for families to enjoy. There’s a fun Kids Club on-site, several pools and plenty of restaurants with menus suited to younger guests.

Remember to factor in the Resort Fee of US$40 per day + tax and parking at US$65 per day.
