Oahu Grocery Stores > Grocery Stores in Waikiki
The following grocery stores are located in Waikiki, within walking distance of the major hotels and resorts. Depending on where you are staying, some stores are more convenient than others. Our favorites are the Coco Cove Center of Waikiki and Mitsuwa Marketplace.
ABC Stores
ABC Stores are locally-owned general stores conveniently located for visitors with merchandise sold at fair prices. There are 30+ stores in Waikiki alone and they are jam-packed with everything you might need to pick up during your stay. No matter where you stay, there will always be an ABC Store closeby.
Duke’s Lane Market & Eatery
Duke’s Lane Market & Eatery is stocked with gourmet foods, made in Hawaii items, quality produce, and fresh bread made by their in-house bakery. There’s also an awesome wine vault inside with local and international wines and craft beers, and on-site eateries including Basalt, Ono’s Burger Bar, and Spitfire Rotisserie.
Food Pantry Eaton Square
Food Pantry Eaton Square is a small supermarket outlet on the west side of Waikiki. Perfect for grabbing a quick bite or filling up your cupboard. The original Food Pantry Kuhio on the east side of Waikiki will return as a brand new full-service grocery store in the Lilia Waikiki building in 2021.
Island Country Markets
Island Country Markets at The Ritz Carlton Residences has just about everything you need. This is a spacious convenience store on Kuhio Avenue, right by the hotel, filled with immaculately-stacked shelves, fridges, and displays. There’s a coffee bar, produce section, groceries and alcohol, island-inspired gifts and apparel. The in-house deli is sensational, it serves freshly prepared meals including all-day breakfast, market-fresh poke bowls, toasted sandwiches, and a range of hot local dishes including delicious garlic butter shrimp.
Longs Drugs Waikiki
Longs Drugs Waikiki is a 24-hour pharmacy (chemist) but it also doubles as a convenience store. Find grab-and-go items on the ground floor and household goods, alcohol, pharmaceuticals, and more at the top of the escalator. There’s also a MinuteClinic walk-in medical service.
Mitsuwa Marketplace
Mitsuwa Marketplace is a treasure-trove of grocery goods, existing almost in secret, on Level 2 of the International Market Place. It’s the largest Japanese supermarket chain in the United States. It is a sushi and bento wonderland, Japanese grocery, confectionery, and cosmetic utopia. There’s everything you need to whip up a meal from fresh-cut fruits and garden vegetables to a fridge stocked with high-quality tofu and meats. Alternatively, get your Japanese fix on-site at Matcha Love cafe (matcha-based ice cream, lattes, iced/hot teas), Hokkaido Ramen Santouka (seriously good bowls of ramen) and MoDo Hawaii (mochi donuts).
Waikiki Old Country Market
Waikiki Old Country Market is small mini-mart on Liliuokalani Avenue in Waikiki, it’s handy for basic food and beverage essentials if you’re staying in the surrounding area.
